As I sit here, behind the comfort of my computer while writing this article, I realize how safe I am. A few of the animals make me gag, some of which are absolutely monstrous while simultaneously being frightening. My brain can barely comprehend them. To say the least, some places have it rough, namely Africa.

8. The Flemish Giant
9. Trigger the Friesian: 6'5" and over one tonne.
10. George, The Largest Dog in the World.
11. Goliath Tarantula

14. African Goliath Frog: It eats small birds.
15. Giant Freshwater Stingray: Can grow to 6'2" and weigh up to 1,300 pounds (600 kilos).

17. Macroptychaster Sea Star: Grows up to 2 feet and found in the Antarctic waters.
